About the Author

Briana LeClerc is a writer and mother living in Southern Vermont with her husband, three young children, and golden retriever. She studied English and Art History at Gettysburg College and studied abroad in Florence, Italy. In her twenties, Bri worked in advertising in New York City before shifting careers to work for her family's fifth generation jewelry business in northern New Jersey. Bri spent five years working alongside family - studying diamonds and training under major Swiss watch companies.
After becoming a mother, Bri made the difficult decision to leave her family's business to focus her time on raising her young children. It was then, during nap time, that she began writing again. Her debut novel, The Emerald Cut, draws on her own experiences with motherhood, relationships, and the places that have shaped her identity over the years. She is passionate about supporting other mothers in their creative pursuits and believes that motherhood can unlock exactly who we were always meant to be.
In 2023, Bri and her husband moved to their happy place in Vermont, embracing a slower pace of life. When she's not writing, Bri enjoys spending time with her children, walking in the woods with her dog, and feeding her sourdough starter, her other pet. You can follow Bri's life in Vermont via her Substack, 'Les Monts Vert', which translates to "the green mountains," in French.
